The Murdock Solon Architects office, located in the historic Chelsea arts district, was designed with a clean, modern aesthetic with a second emphasis on the building's original elements, including the large warehouse-style windows, cement flooring, and concrete mushroom columns.

MSA also highlighted the space's 12-foot ceilings through full-height doorways, kitchen and office cabinetry, and glazing in the conference room.

The open center of the office acts as the primary workspace where access to natural lighting is maximized. To create spaces for drawings and to facilitate teamwork and communication, custom desk design and millwork was completed.

A separate room division was created in the front left of the space as a plotter and mail room and houses the equipment required. A second room was created in the back of the space for a conference room. The large glass wall allows natural lighting and maintains the cool, open-air feel.

The kitchen was built with Effeti kitchen cabinetry and is designed to seamlessly meld within the space while also adding style to the modern feel.
