Irvington, NY

With a history of more than 100 years, the Irvington Residence owners were eager to maintain their home's unique heritage while completing much-needed renovations. Since the house sits on the edge of a downward slope toward a creek, erosion had caused significant damage. To begin, MSA added new planting and built new retaining walls to mitigate future erosion. Then, the structure of the entire rear portion of the house was restabilized before the new deck structure and decking was completed. Stone veneer and outdoor lighting completed the exterior's renovation. While the exterior design focused on respecting and restoring the original style of the home, the interior renovation took on a more modern feel.
