OUR PHILOSOPHY

Murdock Solon Architects works to find smart, innovative design solutions appropriate to the scale and budget of a given project. We feel that a successful architectural solution is the result of an efficiency of design that translates to all aspects of a project including space planning, specified materials, mechanical systems, and structural strategies. Our approach is holistic in that all components are thoughtfully combined into a coherent whole that solves design problems the project sets out to address.

MSA also believes in the value of continuing education for all members of our team; it is an on-going goal of the office to keep up with new technologies and materials through research and study. Recently we are making strides towards producing sustainable construction solutions by having every member of our office work towards obtaining their LEED accreditation to practice architecture as registered LEED APs. Our firm’s membership with the United States Green Building Council is further evidence of our belief that ecologically sensitive design solutions make better architecture, and have the power to improve the caliber of our environment in a profound way.
